CommonRoom is a persona-driven chatbot system developed by Lucas Dickerson for EFL communication practice. It provides a low-pressure conversational space where students can test ideas, find language, and prepare for real peer discussion.
CommonRoomは、Lucas Dickersonによって開発された、EFLコミュニケーション実践のためのペルソナ型チャットボットシステムです。学習者が低いプレッシャーの中で考えや英語表現を試し、実際のピアディスカッションに向けて準備できる対話空間を提供します。

Why CommonRoom
Built to support classroom interaction, not replace it
CommonRoom is designed as a low-pressure rehearsal environment. Instead of treating AI as a tutor or evaluator, the platform uses peer-like personas to help students warm up ideas and language before entering human discussion.
CommonRoomは、低いプレッシャーで練習できるリハーサル環境として設計されています。AIを教師や評価者としてではなく、ピアに近いペルソナとして配置することで、学習者が実際の対人ディスカッションに入る前に、考えや表現を温められるようにしています。
